Just like me, a lot of you do not know how to find your AirPods on your computer. It is easy to use the ‘Find My’ App on an iPhone for this purpose, but can you do the same on a computer? Well, yes, you can, and today I am going to share with you how.

Once you know this trick, you can find your AirPods through any device, but make sure you are logged in to iCloud with the same ID. This makes the entire process easy and successful.
How to Find My AirPods from Mac

- To do this, you need to go to the ‘Find My’ App on your Mac. You can simply find this by typing it in the search bar.
- Next, I click on Devices.
- Then I select ‘AirPods’, and a map showing the last location pops up. To know the exact location, I click on ‘Play Sounds’ and it plays a sound when the AirPod is nearby.
- Once I detect my AirPods, I click on ‘Stop Sound’ in the same settings.
How to Find My AirPods From Windows

If you don’t have a Mac, then you can also find them on Windows.
- Open a browser and log in to your iCloud. You have to be logged in with the same iCloud account you use for your AirPods, or this method won’t work.
- After logging in, go to Find My.
- They click on All Devices.
- Then, click on AirPods, and a map will display to help you locate your AirPods.
Why Don’t You Locate Your Lost AirPods
I am so confident in these tricks and tips that they work every time, but there was this one time when they didn’t work. I wondered why it could be. Well, it is highly because of two significant reasons.
Firstly, if the Find My option isn’t turned on on your phone before losing your AirPods, then you cannot locate them. This feature must be enabled for your iOS devices to track it.
Another common reason that happens the majority of the time is that your AirPods have run out of battery. If your AirPods have no battery, then you will not be able to locate them relying on your Sherlock Holmes skills.
Also, if your AirPods are not in the case, then the Find My app will show their last known location where your AirPods were connected. You’ll have to rely on your memory to locate the exact spot.
Final Thoughts
People like me, who are used to losing their AirPods, can feel a bit more secure. Whenever I can’t find my AirPods, using the Find My app, be it on my Mac or a Windows laptop nearby, gives me a big relief. Now, if I could just keep updating my Apple account password on my phone, that would be great.
You can follow the steps if your iPhone starts glitching and you have your computer nearby. This technique is fail-proof, and you can locate your AirPods at any time using it.
