Everything Explained About Sleep Mode On Fitbit

It’s time to drift off to sleep without any distractions, thanks to the Fitbit sleep mode. Even after having a hectic and stressful day, you can now get a good sleep and understand your sleep patterns if you use the sleep mode on your Fitbit!

Fitbit Sleep Mode

One of the most popular players in the fitness tracking domain, Fitbit, continues to steal the hearts of fitness enthusiasts! Along with a wide range of cool features, the sleep mode on Fitbits is one of my most-used features.

What Is Sleep Mode On Fitbit?

The Sleep Mode on Fitbit allows its users to silence notifications, reminders, and alerts while also dimming the screen brightness on their Fitbit devices.

When Sleep Mode is active:

  • The screen won’t wake even if you raise or move your arm while sleeping.
  • Notifications and reminders are muted.
  • Screen brightness is automatically reduced.

It is an extension of the Do Not Disturb mode, but it not only silences the Fitbit but also dims the screen light. It helps promote uninterrupted sleep while still tracking your data.

Benefits Of Fitbit Sleep Mode

If you feel exhausted and want to get undisturbed sleep at night, then the Fitbit sleep mode can be highly beneficial for you. Here are the benefits that you can enjoy by turning on the sleep mode on your Fitbit.

1. Reduced Distractions: The sleep mode can help users have an uninterrupted sleep without notifications, vibrations, or the screen lighting up whenever you move a little.

2. Improve the quality of sleep: Undisturbed sleep is always considered quality sleep. Fitbit sleep mode can help you improve the quality of your sleep by preventing you from being woken up by any sort of noise or bright screens from notifications or movement during the night.

3. Get insights into your sleep patterns: With the Fitbit sleep mode, users can track their sleep patterns. Moreover, it can help users identify the areas where they can improve their sleep quality.

How to turn Fitbit Sleep Mode On or Off

The steps for turning your Fitbit’s Sleep Mode on and off vary slightly between models but are nearly identical.

  1. Wake up your Fitbit screen.

Swipe down, then tap on the Settings or Quick Settings icon.

Select Sleep Mode or Quiet Modes > Sleep Mode.

Now, toggle on or off the Sleep Mode.

To exit Sleep Mode, wake the screen and turn it off manually.

On some Fitbit models like the Sense or Versa series, Sleep Mode can also be turned on directly from Quick Settings by swiping down twice on the screen.

Setting Fitbit’s Sleep Mode Schedule

The feature to schedule your Fitbit’s sleep mode is quite helpful, as you can set it to turn on automatically at a specific time.

Step 1: Open the Settings by tapping on the gear icon.

Step 2: Next, scroll down to select the Quiet Modes option.

Step 3: Then, scroll again to the bottom and select the Schedule Mode.

Step 4: Now, enter the start time and end time to schedule the sleep mode.

Do alarms work in Fitbit Sleep Mode?

If you have set an alarm on your Fitbit and its Sleep Mode is active, the alarm will still work.

Although notifications and alerts are muted, the alarm still vibrates gently to wake you up. However, if the alarm is scheduled before the start time, it will function normally.

Wrapping Up

The sleep modes introduced on Fitbits are highly beneficial for users. Not only do they help to improve your sleep quality, but they also work wonders by not disturbing users with any calls or notifications while they are sleeping.

The best part is that Fitbit Sleep Mode can be easily turned on/off, automatically or manually! So, if you want a good night’s sleep, it’s time to turn on the sleep mode on your Fitbit and bid adieu to any distractions to enjoy a quality sleep!
