Whether you’re a new Apple Watch user or a certified Apple freak, you should know how to use the texting features properly on the watch. I prefer voice texting over standard texting any day, but sending your voice to everyone you chat with doesn’t seem like a nice idea.

Since using the keyboard is another skill and not everyone wants to use it, drawing letters on the Apple Watch is a fairer option. So, here’s how you can use Scribble on your Apple Watch and save your time.
How to Draw Letters on Apple Watch?
Make sure you are already using the same language keyboard that you’re going to draw letters of-
- Go to the Messages app on your Apple Watch and open a chat.
- Click on
icon (the little finger touching the dotted A letter).
- Now, simply draw or scribble the letters and hit Send.
Note: Not all languages are supported with Scribble; only the following languages are supported-
- Cantonese (Traditional)
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Chinese (Traditional)
- English (Australia)
- English (Canada)
- English (India)
- English (Ireland)
- English (New Zealand)
- English (Singapore)
- English (South Africa)
- English (United Kingdom)
- English (United States)
- French (Belgium)
- French (Canada)
- French (France)
- French (Switzerland)
- German (Austria)
- German (Germany)
- German (Switzerland)
- Italian (Italy)
- Italian (Switzerland)
- Japanese
- Korean
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Portuguese (Portugal)
- Spanish (Chile)
- Spanish (Colombia)
- Spanish (Mexico)
- Spanish (Spain)
- Thai (Thailand)
- Ukrainian
I was a bit surprised to know I can even draw punctuation and symbols. However, the scribble feature isn’t that smart to take all the symbols, I mean it can type anything, but it gets confused with 5 and S, $ and S. It also gets confused with uppercase and lowercase letters. If you manage to type & and get it right on the watch, I would be shocked because my Apple Watch simply can’t do it.
Also, Apple tried to help the users by adding an auto-complete. If a word is a bit long or you have started writing and don’t want to manually draw each letter, simply turn the digital crown a bit, and a bunch of auto-complete words will appear. You can click on the one you want, and that’s it.
Wrap Up
So if you’re in a position where you can’t ask Siri to send a message to someone, neither can you voice text, scribble is the best option. You just need to click on the finger icon in the chat, and that’s it. Scribble your way into their DM!
