In an era of smartwatches and technology, the beef between Apple and Samsung is always entertaining, especially when it comes to smartwatches. I am always updated on this matter because smartwatches are one of my favourite inventions.
I rely on my smartwatches for my day-to-day activities. As much as this topic is interesting, it would be great to know which of the two is the best in this area. If you are baffled and want to know which investment would be better, then here is everything you need to know before making that final decision.
Price
I have to admit that the significant difference between Apple Watch Series 10 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 always comes down to price. Just like most people, pricing does influence the final decision, which makes me gravitate towards the Samsung Galaxy Watch.
The prices of both watches differ depending on the features you opt for. If you go for the base model of Apple Watch Series 7, then the price is $299, and that of Samsung is $349. However, the prices vary depending on the Bluetooth or LTE model and the colours as well.
Needless to say, no matter how expensive Samsung Galaxy watches get, Apple Watches are always going to be one step ahead. To save some bucks, you can visit different online stores and check for discounts.
Battery Life
As much as price influences my final decision, I do have to mention that smart watches with poor battery life are a major turnoff. I find the battery life of the Apple Watch Series 10 to be poor compared to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7.
While my Samsung Galaxy watch lasts me up to 36 hours on standard use, Apple Watch Series 10 only lasts for up to 24 hours. Even on low power mode, Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 can last upto 72 hours, whereas Apple Watch Series 10 can only last for 36 hours. To make up for this, Apple Watch Series 10 does have a fast charging ability, which can charge your full battery in an hour, while Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 requires around 90 minutes to do so or even more.
Now you may believe that it depends on usage and display light, which is absolutely correct. However, the notable difference in battery life clearly gives an idea of which smart watch can perform better for longer period of time.

Design And Fit
I know looks matter, which is why I like the Samsung Galaxy 7 over the Apple Watch Series 10. It is equipped with AMOLED and has a traditional round look. The Apple Watch Series 10, on the other hand, has a rectangular design with round edges.
Both watches are available in many different finishes and sizes. Due to this, there is a difference in the weight of both. Apple watches are lighter and look good for everyday use. Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, on the other hand, looks more sporty. Another good thing I like about these watches is that they come with multiple band options to cater to diverse users’ preferences.
Health And Fitness
If you are a major health freak, then this section will concern you the most. While Apple Watch Series 10 boasts incredible health and fitness metrics, there are areas in which the Samsung Galaxy Watch beats the prior.
Both the watches offer heart rate monitoring, ECG, blood oxygen monitoring and stress monitoring. These watches also come with automatic workout detection modes for swimming, running and advanced workouts too.
However, my Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 can do body composition analysis, which the Apple Watch Series 10 cannot. This feature of the Samsung watch allows one to measure water weight and body fit, which I find helpful after my workout sessions.
Custom Workouts
If you are a fitness coach or do not follow a rulebook for your workouts, you need a smartwatch that can regulate and register custom workouts. You will be glad to know that both of these watches have this feature.
You can add your custom workouts, name them, set goals, and start training. Both of these watches help measure distance, time, and calories. However, the Apple Watch Series 10 is able to support trainings with interval period as well. This feature is lacking in Samsung which can be a major drawback for those who take an interval between their reps.
However, Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 bounces back by offering 100+ custom workout types, whereas Apple Watch Series 10 only provides 90+ custom workouts. Based on your workout scheme, you can pick one that is suitable for you and gives you maximum returns.
Sleep Tracking
You might be aware that both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Apple Watch Series 10 come with advanced sleep tracking features. Both of these watches have sleep stage tracking and a sleep apnea detection system. However, Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 proves to be a better choice becuase of certain features.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 offers advanced sleep detection metrics using snore detection, skin temperature detection, and blood oxygen detection. Apple Watch Series 10, on the other hand, also offers these features but through third-party apps and does not have built-in features for it. Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 also comes with its own sleeping coach, which Apple Watch Series 10 lacks.
However, one major win in this area for the Apple Watch Series 10 is that it is FDA-approved for breathing disturbance detection, which Apple does not. Just like you, I was also surprised when I heard of this feature. If you are hearing it for the first time, then this feature analyzes breathing patterns during sleep. However, you can only avail this feature if you have ultra 2 or series 9 and 10.
Menstrual Tracking
Having a smartwatch with menstrual tracking abilities is a must today. I was very excited to observe and compare the key differences between the two watches in this area. After researching, I learned that if you want FDA-approved metrics, you should definitely trust the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 has FDA-approved registered data, which makes it more legit. It also has a cycle tracking app and an ovulation estimation system. This watch also comes with an infrared skin temperature tracking system, which allows the app to predict your periods. Cool right?
But this specific feature is available on Apple Watch Series 10 as well. Apple takes this feature up a notch and offers wrist-tracking facilities to track fertility insights. It also comes with its own cycle tracking app, which notifies the user about upcoming periods and fertility cycles.
Although both the watches seem promising in this area the only drawback is that Apple Watch Series 10 is not FDA registered. Apple uses Apple health system and Samsung uses Samsung health app. If you are really cautious and picky about these areas, then you know what to trust.
Pregnancy Tracking
The Apple Watch Series 10 is an advanced smartwatch with pregnancy tracking capabilities. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, on the other hand, does not offer any pregnancy tracking features. It does have health tracking facilities, but it lacks specific pregnancy tracking metrics.
Although I have not tested and tried out this feature of the Apple Watch Series 10, I have heard that it allows pregnant women to track their gestational period. It also offers walking steadiness support and symptom logging, which I believe is crucial for pregnant women. Not only this, it seems they do offer integrated pregnancy-relted data which is vital in different stages of pregnancy.
User Interface
For beginners, it is very important to rely on a smartwatch that is easy to use. To make it easy for users, the User Interface of Apple Watch Series 10 has a large, bright interface. It also has a digital crown and side buttons to make it easier for users to access settings.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, on the other hand relies on touchscreen features. Whenever I have to make any changes in the settings, I have to use touchscreen for that feature. It also comes with a rotating bezel and a circular, always-on display.
Wrapping Up
After going through this detailed analysis, I am sure that you will be able to make up your mind. Personally, I like my Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 over Apple Watch Series 10 becuase it offers so many features at such an affordable price.
Also, if you compare the two, you will observe that Samsung Galaxy 7 has a major advantage over Apple Watch Series 10 in most areas. However, I would leave it up to you as it depends on your personal choices and lifestyle.
If I wanted pregnancy-related data, I would surely go for the Apple Watch Series 10. The Samsung Galaxy 7 does not offer this data. Moreover, if you have an iPhone, the Samsung Galaxy 7 won’t be compatible. Hence, it is best if Android users go for the Samsung Galaxy 7 and iPhone users go for the Apple Watch Series 10.
You can choose the watch that suits your needs and budget. To get the best returns, take ample time to check out the features you desire and consult with your loved ones before making a final choice. I told you what my pick would be; you can also let me know yours in the comments below.
