Workarounds To Get An Evie Ring Outside USA!
Leverage Any US Contacts
Even though I don’t live in the US, I have several relatives and friends who do. So obviously, I called upon a relative of mine for a favor: I asked them to buy an Evie Ring for me and then ship it to me across the continent.
Yes, doing this did increase the final price of my Evie Ring, but hey, given how much I love it and depend on it to monitor my health, the extra charge was worth it.
So, if you’ve got any reliable US connections as well, ask them to get the ring for you, and then you can pay the price. However, please know that even though this method is the most reliable workaround in this post, it will cost you additional shipping charges.
Try Getting The Ring Second Hand
It’s not the first choice, obviously, but if you really want to get the ring, then you can try getting it secondhand. For this, you can check if your local second-hand stores (both online and offline) have the ring available.
You can also take use of social media platforms like Facebook Marketplace, Instagram, or Reddit. On Reddit threads and discussions, you will come across people who may want to sell their Evie Ring for some reason or the other, and you can get in touch with them to purchase it.
Similarly, you can also post stories on Instagram and Facebook to ask if someone is interested in selling their Evie Ring.
A good thing about this method is that you will probably get the ring at a cheaper price since it is going to be second-hand. However, the ring will only be covered under warranty if it is sold within the warranty period. Furthermore, you may or may not be able to ascertain the quality and workability of the ring at the time of purchase, which may lead to issues later.
How To Download Evie Ring’s Companion App Outside The USA?
Once I had finally managed to get an Evie Ring outside the USA, I had another major struggle to face– getting the app on my phone. Because without the app, the ring wasn’t going to be of any use to me. But, just like the ring, the app doesn’t work outside the US as well.
This is why I used a clever workaround, i.e., I changed my location to the United States to be able to use the app. Below are the steps I followed, and you can follow them, too, to actually use your Evie ring once you get it.
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap on your profile at the top of the screen.
- When your profile page opens, tap “Media & Purchases”.
- Then, from the small menu that will appear on the screen, select the “View Account” option.
- On doing so, your account page will appear. Here, you will have the “Country/ Region” option. Select it.
- When the “Country/ Region” screen opens, select the “Change Country or Region” option in blue.
- Wait a second or two, and a list of all the countries that you can change your location to will be displayed. From this list, you have to select “United States” and then follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once your location is changed, you can go to the App Store and search for the Evie app.
- When the app page opens, tap “Get”. You will be asked to verify your identity by Face ID or password. Do that, and the app will start downloading.
