Since Tom Hale joined as CEO in April 2022, the shipping delays in Oura Gen 3 have greatly improved. Nowadays, Oura sizing kits are usually delivered within a week’s time.
Users across the US and UK reported a delivery time of 5-8 days, 1 week for Canada and 1-2 weeks for EU.
Depending on where you are in the world, I would say it would take around a week for your sizing kit to arrive. Mine was delivered in 5 days.

Pertaining to the varied delivery times across continents, platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, and Target, all carry the Oura Sizing Kits. While they charge you $10 for the purchase of these kits, they also reimburse those $10 towards the purchase of the ring.
Since Oura offers free sizing kits with the purchase, if you don’t want to spend $10 while ordering it online, I suggest you head to your nearest Best Buy where they have the sizing kits on display.
Target also “theoretically” offers you the same deal however, many people have reported that they didn’t end up getting the gift card. You could, however, use your Target Circle Card for a 5% discount.
You might see some people suggesting going to a local 3D printer and getting an estimate of the ring sizes, I would strongly suggest otherwise. These 3D printed rings won’t have the sensor bumps to give you an accurate measurement.

Once you have secured your sizing kit, follow these steps to determine your ideal ring size.
- Open your Oura Sizing Kit – The Oura sizing kit comes with 8 plastic rings, sizes running from 6 to 13. The sizes are slightly different from the standard ring sizes in the US. I suggest you choose one that fits comfortably on most of your fingers to accommodate varied body fluctuations throughout the day.
- Choose the Right Finger – Oura recommends the index finger of either hand for the most accuracy in measurements. The middle or the ring finger are your next best bet. I personally switch my ring between my fingers throughout the day depending on where it feels the most comfortable.
- Confirm Alignment – The sensor bumps located on the inside of the ring should be aligned with the base of your finger (palm side) for the most accurate metrics.
- Comfortable Fit – If you’re in between sizes, size down. Or switch fingers, ensuring a comfortable fit.
- Ensure a Snug Fit – Make a fist while wearing the plastic ring. If you see a gap in your finger and the top of the ring, size down.
- The 24 Hour Wear Test – Whilst not the real deal, the plastic rings give you a pretty decent grasp of how they feel during the day. Wear the plastic ring for at least 24 hours, if not more, to determine your perfect size.
