Amazfit Helio Ring 2: Rumors and What We Know So Far

Let’s be honest, smartwatches aren’t always the most comfortable devices to wear while sleeping. Even though they excel at tracking sleep patterns and other health metrics, having a gadget strapped to your wrist throughout the night isn’t ideal for everyone. It can sometimes feel like sleeping with a mini-computer on your arm.

Amazfit Helio Ring 2 roumours and what we know so far

The watch served its purpose perfectly well. It was I who was having trouble sleeping with something bulky strapped to my wrist. That’s one of the reasons smart rings have become so popular. Devices such as the Amazfit Helio Ring 2 promise many of the same health insights, sleep tracking, recovery monitoring, heart rate measurements and stress analysis, without constantly reminding you that you’re wearing tech.

With the original Helio Ring making a strong impression in the smart ring market, Amazfit is now preparing its next-generation wearable. The Amazfit Helio Ring 2 is expected to arrive in 2026 and some speculations indicate that there might be significant improvements compared to its predecessor. So, what do we actually know so far and what remains speculation? Let’s take a closer look.

What We Know About Amazfit Helio Ring 2

We do not have to guess if this wearable ring news is real or not because the Amazfit Helio Ring 2 is officially confirmed for release in the second half of 2026. The parent company, Zepp Health, announced this directly as part of an aggressive multi-product roadmap for the year.

According to insider details, the development of the Amazfit Helio Ring 2 is moving forward to address the first model’s supply chain issues. The original ring suffered from global out-of-stock situations due to unexpectedly high demand. Zepp Health is actively fixing these production bottlenecks so that the Amazfit smart ring lineup is readily available for buyers this time.

The biggest expected improvements over the first generation involve the physical build and internal ecosystem. While the Gen 1 of Amazfit Helio Ring was highly praised for its premium titanium alloy build, early adopters noted that it felt a bit thicker than a standard piece of jewelry. The upcoming Gen 2 hardware aims to change that by re-engineering the inside of the ring, especially since the Oura has raised the bar by introducing the world’s smallest smart ring, the Oura Ring 5.

Rumored Features and Specs

When it comes to the technical side, the Helio Ring 2 rumors point to a much more refined device. Amazfit is reportedly focusing heavily on correcting the minor flaws of the first generation while keeping the core elements that users loved.

Health and Sleep tracking

The Amazfit Helio Ring 2 features are expected to focus heavily on holistic health and sleep tracking analytics. We expect the return of high-end health sensors, including:

  • Continuous heart rate monitoring
  • Blood-oxygen saturation (SpO2) tracking
  • An EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor for advanced stress tracking

The biggest software upgrade will likely be deeper analytics for daytime activity tracking and refined sleep insights. Rumors suggest Amazfit will introduce enhanced algorithmic deep dives to provide more personalized wellness reports, allowing it to compete head-to-head with upcoming smart ring launches like the Ultrahuman Ring Pro and the RingConn Gen 3.

Design & Display

As a ring designed to be worn 24/7, physical comfort is everything. The Amazfit Helio Ring 2 features will likely include a redesigned internal sensor alignment. By flattening or shrinking the internal sensor bumps, Amazfit can deliver a thinner, more seamless, jewelry-like comfort fit. It will likely retain its skin-friendly titanium alloy build and a 10 ATM waterproof rating, ensuring it remains fully safe for swimming and showering.

Possible Release Date and Markets

Zepp Health has already confirmed that the Amazfit Helio Ring 2 release will occur in the second half of 2026. The general consensus among industry insiders points toward an early autumn launch, specifically around September 2026.

Early availability will roll out in core regions like North America, Western Europe and key Asian markets before expanding globally. Because the original version is still recovering from supply chain shortages, Amazfit wants to ensure that production lines are fully stable before launching the sequel worldwide.

How much will the Helio Ring 2 Cost

Amazfit has historically positioned itself as a high-value alternative to premium brands, but in early 2026, Zepp Health executives stated that average selling prices across their product portfolio rose more than 20% year-over-year. They noted that the brand has a space to raise prices relative to their competitors.

The original Helio Ring launched at $299 before settling down to a street price of $199. Given the rising portfolio prices and upgraded features, the Amazfit Helio Ring 2 is expected to launch around $249.

Even with a slight price bump, it will likely maintain its biggest competitive advantage: no subscription fees like the Ultrahuman Ring Pro. While rivals like the Oura Ring 5 lock full health analytics behind a monthly paywall, Amazfit is expected to keep its data completely subscription-free.

Wrap Up

The Amazfit Helio Ring 2 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the smart ring market in 2026. While we must treat the early Helio Ring 2 leaks regarding battery life and sensor depth as rumors until official documentation drops, the confirmed late-2026 release window gives us plenty to look forward to.

It promises to take everything great about the original model, like the lack of a subscription fee and the lightweight titanium build and wrap it in a slimmer, longer-lasting design.

  1. Why are there no smartrings available with NFC? That would be a game changer!
There are still only NFC-Rings for cacheless payments, but without any amrt features…

    1. Hi, Christian! I think the biggest challenge is fitting NFC, health sensors, Bluetooth and a battery into such a tiny device without compromising battery life or security. Whoever solves that first could set a new standard for smart rings.
