Does Mint Mobile Work With Apple Watch?

Unfortunately, no, Mint Mobile does not support the Apple Watch. However, if you have an iPhone that uses the Mint Mobile network, then you can share it with your Apple Watch using Wi-Fi.

Does Mint Mobile Work With Apple Watch

Personally, this option is not for me because I do not like to carry my iPhone with me all the time, but if you don’t, then you can opt for this.

Why does Mint Mobile Network not Work With Apple Watch?

The simple answer to it is that Mint Mobile is a very small carrier. It is not that old and has failed to be high on sales to gain Apple’s recognition. As per my research, I have observed that Apple likes to pair up with big companies, which brings profits to both parties.

Unfortunately, Mint Mobile is not that big and still has a long way to go.  Also, Mint Mobile is a small mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that cannot support Apple Watch infrastructure. I have also not heard any news of collaboration between the two. SO, it won’t be wrong to guess that Mint Mobile has a long way to go before coming into Apple’s consideration.

Alternatives To Try Out Except Mint Mobile

Choose A Different Carrier

There are endless carriers that support the Apple Watch. T-Mobile and Verizon are my personal favorites. They are cheap, work great, and I love how they function. You can also experiment and research other carriers that are compatible with a different carrier.

However, if you are a beginner, then I would recommend getting a network only after seeing positive reviews. Mint Mobile also functions decently, but I would not recommend it for the Apple Watch since it does not support it.

Keep Your iPhone Nearby

If you are already using Mint Mobile on your iPhone and don’t want to get a different plan for the Apple Watch, then there is a solution. You can share the Mint Mobile network with your Apple Watch through Wi-Fi.

Use an eSIM

You can also get an eSIM personally for your Apple Watch. This allows you to make independent calls from your Apple Watch without sharing your iPhone’s number. I find this option to be very reliable since I always need to be on my toes.

Hence, I use a different eSIM for my Apple Watch, which allows me to call, message, and enjoy other benefits. However, if you don’t have a cellular Apple Watch, then this option is not for you because a GPS-only watch has no provision for an eSIM.

Final Thoughts

By now, it is clear that  Mint Mobile does not work for the Apple Watch. However, you can make it work through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. But how convenient that option is, it all comes down to personal preference.

Keep in mind that you will be able to make calls and receive messages on your Apple Watch as long as it is connected to Mint Mobile network via Wi-Fi on your iPhone. Basically, you will be able to enjoy it all only if your iPhone is nearby. Without it, your Apple Watch has no use of a Mint mobile network.
