I usually get tired of my Apple Watch face quickly. This is why I like to switch it up every once in a while. I am sure you are inquisitive about this too, which is why you are here. Don’t worry, I will share with you step-by-step on how to do it.

Additionally, I will share some tips on why you may be facing problems in this process.
How To Add A New Apple Watch Face

- Adding a new Apple Watch face is very simple. I start by going to the Watch app on my iPhone.
- Then, I click on Face Gallery. There, I find multiple options and colors.
- I pick the one I like and click on ‘Add’.
How To Add Complications To An Apple Watch Face

- To specifically play a round with complications, I again go to the Watch app on my iPhone.
- Then I click on Face Gallery, followed by a face. There, you get an option to click on a Complication.
- If I don’t want any complications, then I scroll to the top and click the ‘off’ option.
- If you do want to, then swipe on the feature to look for complications that are available. It can be left, right, center, and more.
Why You Are Unable To Add Apple Watch Faces
WatchOS Is Not Updated
You cannot expect your Apple Watch to be on its best behavior when you are not updating it. I had that same expectation about it and wondered why my friends had the option of a better face gallery than mine, even with the same Apple Watch model.
Apple Watch comes with a lot of updates. Not only does updating your Apple Watch give you new options, but it also allows the old ones to be used properly. Many times, I have faced glitches and the Apple Watch face not working properly because my Apple Watch was not updated.
Apple Does Not Allow That Watch Face
One time, after seeing a fancy Watch face on a YouTube tutorial, I wanted that for my Apple Watch as well. However, certain Apple Watch features work regionally. Hence, you cannot make it work in your area.
Also, Apple Watch comes out with different watch faces based on the model. Therefore, the watch face for Apple Watch Ultra won’t work with Apple Watch 6 or any other model, for that matter. Hence, always make sure that you are using the correct Watch face and within accurate regional boundaries.
Apple Watch Not Synced With iPhone
If you are an avid user of the Apple Watch, then you know that you need to pair it with your iPhone to make it work properly. There are numerous options and features that are only available when your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone.
If there are syncing issues between them, most probably your Apple Watch face won’t be able to load the watch face properly. Also, if your Apple ID login is disrupted in any case, then this might happen.
To fix this, I like to log out and log in again. This makes the job much easier.
Using Third-Party Apps
Yes, you can use third-party apps to install entertaining Watch app faces. Just like me, if you find the traditional Apple Watch faces to be a bit boring, then use third-party apps. However, if they are not working, then the only problem is that you are not following the instructions properly.
Based on which third-party app you are using, you need to follow the instructions. Their instructions are different from those of the native Apple Watch face app; follow them to the T. However, keep in mind that these third-party apps come with limitations. Although they won’t hinder the functionality of your Apple Watch, they have limited features and complication options. Also, they can drain the battery of your Apple Watch really fast.
Final Thoughts
That is how you can get Apple Watch faces. I have also shared how to customize them to fit your style and needs. In case you are unable to set it because of any of the problems I mentioned, you can try restarting your phone. This solution works no matter what the problem is.
Also, keep in mind that older Apple Watch models like the Series 3 or below might crash while doing this process. In case you are facing any other problem, let me know down below, and I will be happy to help.
