By now, you know that WhatsApp doesn’t officially work on the Apple Watch, but you can still get notifications. In the same way, even calls made through WhatsApp are not notified on your Apple Watch. Why? Let’s understand.

Why Donʼt I Get WhatsApp Calls On My Apple Watch
I am well aware that the Apple Watch is known for its multitude of features. I expected one of them to be an active and working WhatsApp. However, when I came to know that you can’t reply or make WhatsApp calls through the Apple Watch because there is no official WhatsApp app, it was quite disappointing.
You don’t even receive WhatsApp call notifications; the number 1 reason for it is that Apple only has limited features for WhatsApp on Apple Watch. Hence, you can read and become aware of message notifications on the Apple Watch; however, you cannot make or receive calls.
Technically, when you mirror your iPhone to your Apple Watch, you get to do all the activities of your iPhone on your Apple Watch. However, that was not the case since you do not get live calls mirrored for WhatsApp on Apple Watch.
Not getting WhatsApp notifications On Your Apple Watch?
As mentioned, Apple Watch does not support WhatsApp; however, you should still receive notifications from your iPhone. However, if that is not the case for you, then here are some of the reasons why you are not receiving WhatsApp notifications on your Apple Watch.
Your iPhone Notifications Are Off
I sometimes turn off notifications for certain apps on my iPhone. When I do this, my Apple Watch automatically stops receiving the notifications as well.
Well, the answer to it is simple. Maybe you have turned off the notifications, particularly for WhatsApp, or you have blocked notifications from certain apps, and in this case, it is WhatsApp. If that is the case, the solution is very easy. I simply go to my Watch app > Notifications >Mirror iPhone Alerts From > toggle on for WhatsApp. When you do this, you will start receiving notifications again for WhatsApp on your Apple Watch.
Apple Watch Not Connected To Internet
This problem may sound very obvious, but I cannot tell you how many times it has happened to me. If you have a poor internet connection, you will not receive notifications on your Apple Watch. Therefore, always ensure that your Apple Watch and iPhone are connected to Wi-Fi.
Apple Watch Not Paired With iPhone
I always have the option of ‘Mirror my iPhone’ on. This allows the Apple Watch to receive and behave in the same way as my iPhone, but with certain limitations. If your Apple Watch is not paired with your iPhone, then the notifications redirected to your iPhone will not go to your Apple Watch.
Final Thoughts
So, now you know that even if you receive WhatsApp message notifications on Apple Watch, you will still not be notified about calls.
