Decluttering your digital life can sometimes be a challenge, especially when data from Oura and Natural Cycles (NC°) complicates things. I’ve faced it, and I know how confusing it is to unlink Oura and Natural Cycles. It feels almost impossible initially.
While both contribute to this mess, I’ve noticed NC° makes it worse. But don’t worry. Disconnecting them is possible. Join me to learn how.
How to Disconnect Your Oura Ring from Natural Cycles?
When things weren’t sorting out, I contacted Oura’s Customer Service. They informed me that it can be done by visiting the Natural Cycles app itself. Here is what you need to do:
- Open up the Natural Cycles app on your phone.
- Tap the main menu.
- In the main menu, tap on the My Device option.
- In the My Device section, you’ll see all the devices you’ve linked.
- Look for Change Device.
- Now, switch to another device, let’s say your Apple Watch or the NC° Thermometer.
This is how you take a break from NC° on the Oura Ring data and vice versa without going through a messy breakup.
Just a little note: This doesn’t cut the cord forever. If you ever want to get back together with your Oura Ring data syncing, you’ll just redo these steps.
Other Ways to Disconnect Your Oura Ring from Natural Cycles
If, in any case, the official method is not working or is not suitable for you, here are some extra workarounds for you to consider:
Workaround 1: Contact Natural Cycles Customer Service
Getting connected with the Natural Cycles’ Customer Service is a straightforward and the best alternative approach to separate NC° and the Oura Ring accounts. Here is how it goes:
1. Go to the Natural Cycles’ Customer Support.
2. Scroll down and click Contact Us.
3. Now, use the chat window. It’s the only way to connect as the ‘Submit a Request’ page is off. Click on Measuring and Devices.
4. A list of devices will pop up. Here, you’ll obviously want to choose Oura Ring.
5. Now, tap on the Troubleshooting button.
6. Now, tab any button, but I go with the Timestamp button. It makes my process easier.
7. Now, tap that Thumbs Down icon. If you go with even any of the buttons, you just need to wait for the chatbot to display the “Did you find this helpful” prompt.
8. Once you tap the Thumbs Down icon, it will offer to connect you to a real person by generating a ticket. Click Yes.
9. Now, tap Yes, I do, and then enter your NC° account email.
10. Now explain to them that you want to disconnect your Oura Ring from their app. Wait for an automatic email confirmation to arrive.
11. Give it a day or two (working days, mind you), and they’ll get back to you. They might have already disconnected it, or they’ll have some final steps for you to follow.
And that’s a wrap! The best part is you’re talking directly with NC° experts, so you know it’s in good hands.
Workaround 2: Delete Your Natural Cycles Account
If nothing else helps, you may have to delete your NC° ID. It will erase all your data and account info from the NC° servers permanently. So, consider it carefully.
- Open the Natural Cycles app on your phone.
- Go to the main menu.
- Tap on My Account.
- Locate the Delete Account option.
- Follow the prompts on your screen. You might need to enter your NC° password or confirm it with Touch ID.
That’s it. You have not only disconnected Oura from Natural Cycles but also permanently erased your NC° data and ID.
Just one more thing: Remember to cancel your subscription before deleting your NC° account. Deleting your account removes access even with the remaining subscription time.

Wrap Up
That’s all about breaking the bond between NC° and Oura Ring. Frankly, it is quite a task, and I feel it is unnecessarily complicated. Either Oura or NC° should make it as simple as unpairing Bluetooth or removing a friend from social media with one or a couple of simple clicks.
