Oura Ring is designed especially for monitoring one’s health. Its advanced sensors provide users with personalized insights about their health, such as progressive sleep monitoring, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, extensive activity tracking, stress level tracking, etc.

While the Oura ring is not in the category of a medical-grade device, its features are very close to those of advanced medical technologies. Oura Ring Eligibility

Oura ring can now be purchased using a Health Savings Account. As per the recent IRS-issued guidelines, Oura, along with a few other health trackers, have been included in the list of FSA-approved items. This makes Oura ring eligible to be purchased with HSA/FSA funds (available for US citizens only), as FSA-eligible items are also HSA-eligible.

One can also apply for reimbursement for the Oura Gen3 if it was purchased in 2023 or later. To get reimbursement for a ring purchased before 2023, customers were required to produce an LMN, i.e., a Letter of Medical Necessity, which is issued by a doctor stating that the Oura ring is required for the patient’s medical condition (the chances of which are pretty slime).

At the moment, Oura Ring is eligible for reimbursement with only the following:

2. Health Savings Account (HSA)
3. Health reimbursement arrangement

Oura ring is not eligible for reimbursement for the following:

1. Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA)
2. Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA)

Steps to Purchase with FSA and HSA

Oura has collaborated with SIKA to enable its customers to make the most out of their FSA and HSA funds. To purchase an Oura ring for yourself, you will need to follow the steps below-

1. During checkout, you can select the second option, “FSA/HSA Cards,” as your payment method.

2. Click on “Continue with SIKA”.

3. A new window will open for you to review your items. It will show you two things:
   • Total value of items eligible to be purchased with FSA/HSA card.
   • The total value of items not eligible for FSA/HSA payment, which need to be paid off with a different credit or debit card.

4. After adding the payment information, click on “Complete Purchase.”

5. An email confirming your order will be sent to your registered email address from [email protected].

How to Apply for HSA/FSA Reimbursement?

As mentioned earlier, Oura ring reimbursements are only valid for Oura ring Gen3 (bought in or after 2023).

1. Upon placing the order, an email will be sent by Oura to your registered email id. The email will come from either [email protected] or [email protected], confirming that the order is being processed.

2. Next, you need to head to the FSA or HSA provider’s website and submit the proof of order sent by Oura or SIKA.

Note: If you are unable to trace the email of the order confirmation or are stuck somewhere, you can reach out to Oura’s customer service or your FSA or HSA provider.

Returns and Cancellations of Oura Ring Bought with HSA/FSA Funds

There might be a scenario where one wants to return an ordered ring if it’s not fitting well or exchange it for another size/style, or maybe the ring gets ordered at the wrong location, and it needs to be canceled. If the purchase is made using an HSA or FSA account, contact Oura’s customer service for support.

• If your return is approved as per Oura’s return policy, then Sika will refund the amount within 10 business days and only after Oura receives the ring back.
• If one needs to cancel the order, they can do so only if the product has not been shipped; the refund would again take around 10 business days to reflect.
