I have been very conscious while handling my Amazfit Helio smart ring since I bought it. After all, I don’t want to risk damaging my expensive ring. So, I did my research to know if Helio is water-resistant or better waterproof.
I found out that while the Amazfit Helio Ring can withstand several water-related activities, it is not fully waterproof. Since the smart ring was designed for athletes, it has better water resistance than the RingConn Ring. I have tested the ring in different water-related activities under different conditions to get a more realistic picture. Let’s skip to the details now.
What Does Official Amazfit Helio Website Say About It’s Smart Ring’s Water Resistance Capacity?
According to the official Amazfit Helio website, the smart ring has a 10 ATM water-resistance rating and can withstand water up to 100 meters. Its operating temperature is 0°C to 40°C or 32°F to 104°F. So, the ring can be worn while swimming, showering, participating in shallow water sports, etc.
The Amazfit Smart ring is suitable for wearing during normal water-related activities like washing hands, washing dishes, cleaning floors, etc. However, the official website suggests not wearing it during hot showers or sauna baths. This means that the ring cannot handle heat exposure and, thus, should not be left in sunlight for long periods.
I further inquired about the ring’s durability under harsh conditions and contacted the Amazfit team. They explicitly stated that the ring is not capable of withstanding environments with rapid temperature changes. Thus, it is advisable to avoid any kind of exposing the Amazfit Helio ring to corrosive substances. It’s always better to thoroughly dry it before operating.
I have compiled a list of a few water-based activities and sports that are suitable or not for the Amazfit ring. Read the details below.

My Experience With Amazfit Helio Ring In Different Water Activities
I have been wearing the Amazfit Helio Ring for the past two and a half months and have not faced any trouble so far. I am too lazy to remove my ring while doing chores. So, it has remained with me in most of the cases. I have been wearing it while taking showers or swimming in the pool or ocean.
As of now, I have not worn the ring outside its operating temperature. In fact, I avoided wearing it while scuba diving to avoid any damage. Since its operating temperature ranges between 0°C to 40°C, it is not possible to wear it in sauna or ice baths. It would have been better if it could upgrade itself and include them in its upcoming versions.
I guess we have to wait longer to get a more water-resistant version of the Amazfit Helio Ring. Till then, I am okay using it while doing dishes, washing clothes, and doing water-related activities that don’t affect my Amazfit Ring.
Water Resistance Comparison Of Amazfit Helio Ring With Other Smart Rings
Since the Amazfit Smart Ring is not the only smart ring on the market, I thought, why not compare its water-resistant capacities with those of other popular smart rings? So, here are the details in the table.
