When investing in an expensive gadget like Oura, it’s crucial to get the right ring size. Oura ring sizes are different from the regular US ring sizes, which is why Oura provides its customers with a free ring sizing kit to be double sure about the size and fit of the ring at the same time ensuring utmost comfort.

Delivery Timelines

The delivery timelines may vary from location to location. In my case, I went ahead and ordered my ring from Best Buy using the pickup option, which I thought would be pretty convenient. I was under the assumption that I would pick up my ring the very next day. 

Unfortunately, I had to wait for an email from Best Buy confirming me that my order was packed. I kept waiting for the email for the next 3-4 days. Finally, I decided to cancel the order and move on to Amazon. With Amazon, it took hardly 2 business days to get the ring sizing kit delivered to me in Canada.

I found out about the ring sizing kit as I went on to place an order for my Oura ring. I also found out a few important things like-

• The customer needs to pay the entire amount for the Oura ring in order to get the ring sizing kit for free.
• If you are not happy with the fit and would like to cancel your order, you still do not need to return the ring sizing kit.

I would like to elaborate on the above. After selecting the ring of my choice, I stumbled upon an option saying, “Order a free sizing kit.” I went for it as I trust a brand’s official site more than the other sites. Here are the steps I followed; you can do the same as well- 

1. Head to Oura’s official website.

2. Click on “Shop.”

3. Click on “Choose your Oura ring.”

4. Choose your desired Style > Click on “Choose your Finish.”

5. Click on “Choose your Size.” 

6. Select  “Order A Free Sizing Kit” > Click on “Add to Cart.”

7. Next, click on “Proceed to Checkout.”

8. Add your personal details such as Name and Email. After adding the details, tap on “Next: Delivery Address.”

9. Add your Delivery address and then tap on “Next: Billing Address.”

10. Add your Billing Address and tap on “Next: Payment.”

11. Choose a payment method, enter your details, and click on “Place Order.”

 A Few Things to Take Note Of

• As already mentioned above, I had to pay the entire amount for the Oura ring to receive my ring sizing kit. If you do not find the right fit, it might be a hassle for you to cancel your order and wait for the payment (some $300) to be credited back, which might take 3-5 business days or more in some cases.
• Since I was not sure about how to use the sizing kit, I got additional help with sizing to get the right ring size for accurate results. Once I found out my best fit, all I had to do was confirm my ring size. 
• I could have alternatively purchased the kit from Amazon.com against a payment of $10. The invested amount of $10 would be credited back to Amazon credit. This amount happens to be automatically applied at checkout if someone is buying an Oura Ring or Oura Ring charger. In that case the purchase of the Oura ring and ring sizing kit should be from the same Amazon account in order to avail of the $10.
• Oura ring prices are the same, i.e., the equivalent of $10, on all the sites and in all the countries.

I received my Oura ring sizing kit from the official website within a week. After a couple of days of getting sure of my size (which is eight, by the way), I confirmed my order. I received the ring in the next 4-5 days. The entire process took some two weeks for me, which was quite lengthy. But I am happy with the size and fit of my ring, which makes the time taken worth the wait.

As mentioned earlier, Oura does not offer half sizes like 6.5, 7.5, etc. So, it might be difficult for some people to get the right fit. So, the effectiveness of the Oura sizing kit is debatable.
