It’s been a few weeks since Samsung’s smart ring was launched, and it got sold out from pre-orders in just two days. The Galaxy ring has been restocked continuously since then. While it can be bought from the official website, many are wondering whether its possible to buy the Galaxy ring with HSA/FSA.
Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t provided any information about the Galaxy Ring being HSA/FSA eligible up until now. Many people have attempted to buy the ring from their HSA/FSA accounts but failed ultimately.
Will Galaxy Ring Be FSA/HSA Eligible in the Future?
The Galaxy ring has been launched in some countries, and is even shipped in a few countries already. I had a word with Samsung’s chat support multiples times and they have no information about it yet. By best guess is that it is still very early for a wearable gadget to be labelled as an health device.
The point of a fitness gadget to be covered under FSA and HSA is for it to be needed or required for helping with the health of a person. I don’t think so soon the gadget has proved its value to the market. Just as Oura is FSA/HSA eligible, I don’t think it should be much difficult for Samsung as a brand to prove its worthiness.
If Evie ring was launched early in 2024 and Evie is already FSA/HSA eligible, I have huge expectations from Samsung.
While you cannot directly buy the ring from your HSA/FSA account, you can still apply for reimbursement. People on Reddit are sharing that they have applied for the reimbursement but haven’t got any response yet. You can also attempt but I cannot say for sure whether the reimbursement will be successful or not.

Wrap Up
I have written this article to clarify any official news about the Samsung Galaxy ring’s FSA and HSA eligibility. Though some people on platforms like Reddit claim they have bought the ring with their HSA card, Samsung has not issued such official news. So, we must wait until the company breaks its silence on the matter.
